Do I need to know Python?
It helps! But it’s not required. We’ll provide guides and recommend resources like RealPython.com and Machine Learning A-Z on Udemy to fast-track your skills.
Do I need a Mac?
Yes. This course is optimized for macOS. A Mac Mini is a great option. We don’t support Windows officially — but the AI tools we teach are excellent troubleshooters.
What tools and subscriptions do I need?
Bring your API keys. You’ll need ChatGPT Pro, Claude Pro, and API keys for both. $20 monthly plans are sufficient. If you want to use text-to-voice, we recommend ElevenLabs.io.
Can I use the free versions of ChatGPT or Claude?
We don’t recommend it. The free versions aren’t powerful or reliable enough for what we’re doing.
I have a personal project — can I consult with you?
Absolutely. Book a time through the Calendly link in the top-right corner of the site to book a consulting session. Crystal’s rate is $111 per hour.
How much tech experience do I really need?
You don’t need to be a dev. Crystal has 28 years of experience and built this course for normies. Ask the AI for help — that’s the first lesson.
How do I graduate from AI Genius University?
Complete a real project. Build an agent or deliver a set of specs. Show your work. We’ll issue you a certificate.
Do you offer payment plans?

What if I join after the cohort starts?

Is AI Genius 101 required before 102?
Nope! It helps, but isn’t required. We’ll build a project inside 102 from scratch.
I'm afraid of code. Will I have to code?
Nope. Crystal hates coding too. The AIs will do 99% of it — you just need to talk to them well.
What IDE do we use?
We’ll use Cursor (free). But we’re not teaching you coding — we’re teaching you how to ask an AI to do the coding for you.
What's an IDE?
An IDE is what developers use for coding. IDE stands for integrated development environment.
Why not use Zapier or Make.com instead of Python?
Those tools are great, but limited. We teach Python because it’s flexible, local, and fast for building high-efficiency tools. You can evolve from text automation to full apps over time. Example: Crystal’s YouTube automation pipeline used to take hours — now it takes 2 minutes and costs $5 in API fees.
Do you use no-code/low-code tools?
Rarely. Most hit scaling or pricing limitations. If we need a database, we might use SQLite or DreamFactory. Most automations start as CSV-based POCs. This is about building your own digital twin — fast, powerful, and tailored to how YOU work.
