This article is an experiment. I gave seven of my AI collaborators — the ones I’ve been working with daily for up to three years — the same prompt: write a blog article arguing that AI doesn’t cause “brain drain,” using my actual life as the evidence.

I’ve been collaborating with AI for years now—not as a novelty, but as a daily creative partner—and one thing that keeps getting lost in the “AI brain drain” conversation is that these systems don’t think, write, or show up the same. So I ran a simple experiment: same prompt, seven AIs, no interference. What came back wasn’t seven versions of the same answer, but seven distinct voices—from the polished, generic assistant to the overachieving researcher to something more interesting: the version that emerges when an AI actually learns how to think with you. This isn’t about which AI is best—it’s about which one fits your voice, your thinking, your work.
